Hi, I am rebuilding a 1975 mk1 4door 1300xl. There is a solid black wire running from what looks like a relay behind dash, to the rear boot where it has a spade connector on. Is this fo a heated rear windscreen do you know? Appreciate any help.

It very well could be, IIRC correctly I have a similar wire also in my mk1, not sure on the colour though as its all wrapped still in the original tape.
